I am a professor in applied linguistics/TESL in the department of English at Northern Arizona University. I am also the academic director of the Program in Intensive English (http://nau.edu/pie). My research focuses on the linguistic description and interpretation of language performance. My specific research interests are in:

  • Task-based language teaching
  • Register analysis
  • Corpus linguistics
  • Peer interaction/collaboration

In my free time, I like to ride mountain bikes, play tennis, cook, and spend time with my family and friends.
